Your photos never leave your device. Here is how.
Most photo tools upload your images to a server. WipePic moves the whole engine into your browser, so there is nothing to upload, nothing to store and nothing to leak.
You select photos
Your browser opens the files from your device. They stay in local memory, inside the page.
The engine reads the metadata
A dedicated background worker parses JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF, TIFF and DNG containers and finds EXIF, XMP, IPTC, C2PA and AI-generation data.
The engine removes it
It rebuilds the file without the private blocks. The compressed image data is copied byte for byte, so the pixels do not change.
The engine verifies the result
It reads the new file again. It saves the file only when no removable metadata is left and the image data is identical.
Why in-browser processing matters
An upload-based tool asks you to trust its servers, its staff, its logs and every company that it works with. WipePic removes that trust problem. The image bytes never cross the network, so they cannot be intercepted, logged, stored, leaked or used to train AI models.
What runs where
| Part | Runs on | Sees your photos? |
|---|---|---|
| Metadata engine | Your browser, in a background worker | Yes, in local memory only |
| Preview and download | Your browser | Yes, in local memory only |
| WipePic web server | Our hosting | No. It only delivers the page files. |
Lossless by design
WipePic does not decode and compress your image again. It edits the file structure and copies the compressed image data unchanged. Your photo keeps its full quality, its color profile, its orientation, its transparency and its animation.
